This post is the first in a series on the spiritual disciplines.

I first came across the term “spiritual disciplines” about 15 years ago as part of a “Formation for Christian Ministry” class at seminary. There has been some debate recently about the spiritual disciplines. Are they a modern form of asceticism? Or as someone commented recently “are they [the spiritual disciplines] nothing more than medieval mysticism?”

So what are the spiritual disciplines? Richard Foster in his book “Celebration of Discipline” lists the following as spiritual disciplines: Meditation, Prayer, Fasting, Study, Simplicity, Solitude, Submission, Service, Confession, Worship, Guidance and Celebration.

In this series, I will attempt to explore each of these disciplines from a biblical, historical and practical perspective.

There are definite benefits of a healthy breath. But can medications help us? Naturally, about 35% of Americans order medications online. There are treatment options only for women. If you’re concerned about sexual disorder, you probably already know about “buy cialis online usa” and “where to buy cialis online“. Typically, when folk think about generics, they mean “cialis buy online“. Numerous websites describe it as “buy cialis online in usa“. A common class of antidepressants, which switch on Zoloft, may kill the mood in bedroom. Certain drugs are not suitable for patients with definite conditions, and sometimes a physic may only be used if extra care is taken. If you experiment some dangerous effects which you think may be due to this medicine, speak with your health care purveyor.
